The Capital Advisory Investment Banking Group (“CAG”) at Matrix actively advises operating companies on all phases of the capital raising process by delivering bespoke financing solutions in support of client growth initiatives. In serving as an outsourced capital markets function, CAG provides high-touch, executive level resources to businesses navigating the increasingly complex debt & equity markets when raising the capital necessary to facilitate organic/acquisitive growth to major capital expenditures to shareholder liquidity. Through a structured process, our professionals work closely with clients to evaluate existing capital structure, model performance scenarios, and develop the ideal go-to-market strategy while also interfacing directly with intermediaries and investors to limit the strain on management teams/financial sponsors.

Both CAG and Matrix as a whole offer deep sector expertise across a wide range of industries and forms of capital, which is extremely important in optimizing outcomes and ensuring investor receptivity.     • Structure and negotiate terms and conditions at both proposal and documentation stages

Our team of bankers is well-versed across the credit spectrum and with a variety of financial products and transaction sizes. Our bankers’ previous experience includes:

  • Advised and negotiated $1B in combined credit facilities consisting of both term debt revolver to support property acquisition for a Diversified REIT that acquires, owns, and manages single tenant commercial real estate properties
  • Lead Arranger/Advisor on $1.125B of credit facilities to support bespoke financing of specific funds’ assets for a hedge fund
  • Advised on $525MM transaction to support an acquisition by private equity firm for a privately-held multi-channel beverage distributor
  • Advised/Lead Arranger for sponsored RecFi Platform for a recreational vehicle dealership Group
  • Advised on $215MM pro-rata bank loan to support a mid-market sponsor’s acquisition of platform for a distributor of single stream disposable products used in food service, janitorial, sanitation, hospitality and medical industries
  • Lead Arranger/Advisor on $750MM senior secured bank and institutional TLB facility for a snack food manufacturer and distributor
  • Advised on $150MM transaction to construct a new manufacturing facility for a global supplier of rigid paperboard and other packaging materials
  • $550MM multi-tranche credit facility to support an acquisition for publicly-held aerospace and defense contractor for a leading producer, designer, and marketer of systems and services for advanced communications solutions
  • Lead Arranger for $1.6B senior secured credit facility (Rev/TLA/TLB) and $300MM senior unsecured note offering for a medical device component and contract manufacturer
  • Lead arranger of $250MM working capital and acquisition credit facilities for a flexible packaging converter specializing in printing, extrusion, and adhesive lamination for the food, beverage and consumer products industries
  • Lead Arranger/Advisor on $400MM credit facility to support a mid-market private equity firm for infrastructure and environmental remediation firm
  • Lead Arranger for $350MM senior secured credit facilities to support working capital, acquisitions, and shareholder redemption for a global manufacturer of industrial machine tools and related components
  • Capital structure advisory on $600MM raise for a large closely-held operator of multi-channel leisure platform for a global food service and hospitality provider operating in the lodging, sporting, travel, gambling, and entertainment industries
